Exactly. With beasts you know what to expect for the most part, because their instincts only manifest in a few ways. Usually for survival. With humanity though...every now and then you think you've seen the worst of it, but then someone else can come along and surprise you. I think that's the part that's the hardest. [ ... ] Luckily right now we've stopped some terrible things from happening and terrible people have been deal with. We're in a safe and peaceful period again.
