...That's unfortunate, but I understand what you mean. A beast can only act on its instincts. A person, at some point, makes a decision to shed their humanity.

It's not. At least this time we knew ahead of time instead of being pulled into an anomaly like before. That one was bad for other reasons. [ but nevertheless. he focuses on the second point instead, because he does think diluc understands this a little, too. ]
Exactly. With beasts you know what to expect for the most part, because their instincts only manifest in a few ways. Usually for survival. With humanity though...every now and then you think you've seen the worst of it, but then someone else can come along and surprise you. I think that's the part that's the hardest. [ ... ] Luckily right now we've stopped some terrible things from happening and terrible people have been deal with. We're in a safe and peaceful period again.
