I think it's more rare for someone to understand all of this than to be out of their depth. So many people are experiencing this for the first time you have to wonder why the company decided we were qualified for this.

You're from one of the older worlds then. [ don't just say that. ] Space travel's been possible for a few decades on Earth, but it's reserved for people who're trained to do it. I've never thought much about it.

[ thankfully the spaceport is right at the edge of the nest, so it isn't too far a walk in the gloom. the ambient light of the city probably helps to serve as a beacon as well, though of course diluc is mindful of their immediate footing. ]

There must be plenty to see in this 'Nest', to wander this far out. [ figuratively speaking. he has no idea where any planet is relative to each other. ]

Is Teyvat not that big? [ he has read profiles, it's fine. ] The population of this planet's actually smaller than the city I'm from, so it's not that much of a stretch for me to believe it. But then again Tokyo has a lot of districts so people are still kinda spread out. This place looks like there's only a few buildings and everybody crowds around them.

Probably not. I mean they were willing to keep Scien alive, but they still kept him in his cell. [ not indispensable, but limited. this seems like the best way to actually read their current situation. ]
That and we don't know if they're at a risk of breaking the contract, too, if they just abandon us. I don't know. I know it's, like, not really stuff I should be thinking about when there's so much else to look at and explore but...it's hard not to.

[ he has the opposite problem here, but he's no less interested. he actually seems to be in good spirits, and without really noticing as he's curiously peering over a set of wood-crafted knick-knacks two lil kitty ears sprout, flicking a little. ] I think I'm still finding my footing but a lot of the stuff looks pretty well made.
