I think a lot of us did and didn't want to say so. Or were hoping for a better outcome anyway. [ but this is why optimism is for suckers. ] I'm okay. I mean I'm not, like, happy that this happened and I think we're all going to be thinking about this for a while, but...I think it could have been a lot worse. I just feel bad for Rosamund right now.
Yeah. That's the part I don't really get. Last time they let two people down there for someone who was already gone, but this time even when they admitted there was an unstable reading they only allowed Rosamund to go down there. So why? What purpose is there to send one of us and not someone more equip to do this?
I'm not sure. We're getting all of this information sent and streamed to our I.R.I.S.es so it's probably someone or something that has access to override certain network settings. I don't think it's the senior crew because they always seem surprised. But I haven't figured out if it's more malfunctions for a protocol that's set in place, or if it's a person controlling things we can't see.
It would depend on how strong the connection was, and if the senior crew even knew about that, too. But it's possible that they wouldn't necessarily have to be on the ship. They could've even set some of this stuff on a time.

Yeah... I'm okay. I had a feeling it was going to end like this...
[ even though that's really, really sad. ]
... What about you, Shoma? That was all pretty intense...

If a person controlled it, would they have to be on this ship with us? It sounds like our communications beyond the ship are, like... super slow.

[ ...hm. ]
You think they could still be acting instead?
