[ there's still a bristled sort of poofed-out cat tail when he's lifted despite knowing this would happen, but up he goes! he truly mounts this thing like a city kid who has never seen a horse in his fucking life. but he figures it out and eventually balances. ]

I should think so. [ and he pulls himself up!! they're ridin ] I must say, while the technology is unknown to me, the familiarity of this is rather relaxing.
[ they're up! and he's about to say something but yeah. the elc bucks and he's immediately yelling because this is startling and bad!! but he's also gripping around the elc's neck so i sure hope dion doesn't eat shit. ]
[ dion manages to hold on!! he just tightens his legs around the elc and puts a hand on shoma's jacket to make sure he doesn't slide around too much either. ]
[ honestly holding onto shoma probably doesn't help that much given he weighs less than 100 pounds soaking wet, but he is at least trying to get this elc to chill while tightening his heels into its side. ]
And if it doesn't? [ again. never been on a mount. god help him. ]
[ i think the worst thing of my life is that dion being like this is primarily why shoma's actually okay with him. mostly because yeah, he (mostly) gets that it's a joke even if he's steadying himself, but the mount stops trying to throw them off and he sits up a little higher to pat its neck. there, there. ]
...jeez. [ he is studying from up here though. ] The response time on these things is instantaneous, too. It's almost like they really are able to react without having to go through their programming of what might be reasonable.

It is the primary steed of the people on Valisthea. They are large birds with long necks, standing slightly taller than a man.
