Yeah. Any sort of comparison could be good for comparing our blood with the nanites in it. Or it'd at least give us an idea of how we could change it, but...that's still a pretty big "if." I don't know how easy it'd be to grab anything to take back with us.

Oh. [ he seems thoughtful... ] No, you're right. I did know about this. He and Scien told me a lot about what they were doing on their island and about their research. I just wasn't sure if you meant someone here or if immortality was something that exists where you're from, too.

And I suppose someone would refer to it as a god. It is the creator of humanity.

He is attempting to erase his creation. Evidently we have disappointed him by developing wills of our own.

Wait, so...he's the one who created life and humanity to begin with and now he's throwing a tantrum and wants to force quit everything? [ sure. ] What's the point of being alive if you don't get to have your own will?

He did not create us for us to live freely. We were created so that he could eventually sacrifice us to enact powerful magic for his own purpose...

Our wills are an obstacle to that.

How hard is it going to be to kill this god?

he gives shoma a wry smile, ] In truth, I am unsure if we will be able to accomplish it. But we're facing oblivion regardless.

I do wonder if there is something here I could return with to assist in the mission.

A few people have thought about trying to find things there that can help them when they return where they came from. And...considering we're going to a ton of planets, I don't think that's really out of the realm of possibility.

[ but he pauses for a moment. ]

Facing oblivion sounds pretty bad either way. So...better to at least try, right?

[ he smiles the smile of someone who is not at all bothered by oblivion. hell yeah. ]

You're most right. I wouldn't be content to die without first exactly my revenge, in any case.

[ hell yeah. but there's a curious hum. i think a lot about how they're really having this conversation standing outside of a blood bank. ]

...revenge isn't the only thing you're fighting for, right?
