A summary would be really, really helpful. And I can try to show you everything we have on this side, too. It's better if a few of you have that information to take back and share with everybody else anyway.
[ anyway. he is getting real tired of these glitches. he has seen them. they keep happening. so he looks unimpressed for a hot minute but he smiles a little sympathetically anyway. ]
It's okay, Sidon. You're doing what you can and I appreciate that, even if someone or something's trying to block you from important stuff. Besides, being able to see you is already more help than I could've asked for.
All right! I'll try my best—let's see how much of this works!
[ the way he speaks shifts, more formal. less excitable sharkman and more zora prince. there is still glitching here and again which i'm going to be lazy about writing for the most part ]
One was a video, with Amalthea and Hans while they worked in Hydroponics. He's a smaller man, gray eyes—hair in a bun, with a bracelet. Oh, these details and memories—sometimes they can be helpful if you share them with the senior crew. Anyway, it was a conversation about theology and superstition. Some of the crew believed the Eudora was haunted—whether or not that's true, she believed that sometimes people are aboard ships, but not easily seen.
Then, a journal entry by a medical assistant. They were clearly upset at Dev, with signs of an unusually powerful aggression... one that even they were surprised and alarmed by.
Finally, the latest was a journal entry by—I believe it was Dimia? She was writing about the last delivery stop on their journey, which was a pastel green planet with [ lil glitchy moment, static over his voice ] opaque mist. Serene-looking.
[ with that, he kind of levels back out as he talks normally. ]
I think that's everything, though I don't remember every detail off the top of my head! Hopefully it'll be of some use to you.
[ everyone really went "im glitching but don't wan't to keep writing it" and i respect you for it. but the formality means he's listening attentively. ]
This helps, yes. I think some of these we've seen on our side, but others maybe not. It's good to know so I can make comparisons. [ he tilts his head. ]
I can show you everything we got, too? Just so you're caught up. I did show Scien but it might not hurt to have multiple people on your side know.
[ he is reading all these right now but i am not so there will be some more glitching when he tries to remark on them, and he eventually and conveniently gives up. ]
Thank you! Some of these are new to me... And I see you were able to recover the Multiplex video after all! We'll review it all and see what we can come up with.
[ he'll pocket that for gy shenanigans. ]
It feels like we're getting a little closer to the truth at least.
[ you are so valid. but he at least perks up very slightly. ]
Yeah, we got Adrastea to help. I hope you're right about that. We keep finding more things that start getting crazier to think about each week, but they all have to fit somewhere.
[ the thing he isn't telling sidon is that the needless confidence helps because shoma is still an extremely miserable person who really is just doing his fucking best. but it does mean that that, and affection week, allows sidon to be aggressive in his nuzzling, too, while shoma's laughing and patting his head where he can reach. this is fine. ]
I think...just seeing you has helped me more than most things have lately. [ ... ] You've been really missed, you know that? I got the letters from you guys and everything and those were nice but this is something I don't think any of use realized we needed this much.
[ SHOMA YOUR MISERY COMPLEX!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH... he attempts to combat this with the sheer brunt of affection, fins ruffling when he's pat. ]
I understand... there's nothing quite like reuniting in person, is there? [ it feels more real this way. not just hopeful shouting in the void. ] I hope you don't miss us too much, though—we're never too far!
[ he takes a break from being annoying, just resting in place a moment. ]
The last thing I want is my memory to bring you grief.
[ it's like having a very large and affectionate dog, so this works. ]
Yeah. It's one of those things where it's both really happy and really sad to think about because at least you get the time, but then you remember it can't be permanent. But at least this one's real. [ he does not quite elaborate on that, though his smile skews a little softer and quieter then. ] I've...spent a lot of years trying to understand how to handle grief. And I think being here, at least, has taught me how to try to focus on the good things instead of dwelling on the part where it's gone. There's more to your memory than being someone who left. So that's what I should be remembering, right?
But it does help knowing you're...below us? I think? From the sounds of it.

I can take a look! Since we'll have to remember it, it couldn't hurt to have multiple eyes.
[ besides he and scien tend to prioritize things... differently. ]

Definitely. Some of this you've probably seen, too, because I've been getting it from multiple people and some was posted publicly but just in case.

[ he's needlessly confident about that, because there's plenty of smart people here. anyway he obnoxiously nuzzles his hair like an oversized dog. ]
You're all doing so well! Do you need help with anything else!? [ he's just like. excited to see him again. but trying to be focused. ]
