[ you know that kind of frantic energy a person has when they're already pushing their limits and they're running on fumes but they want to find solutions anyway? that's where we are at at this moment in time when shu probably comes across shoma slowly wandering the halls checking on the locked down areas. he is a man on a mission? but he is going slow enough it's a little too easy for someone to catch up with him. ]
Yeah. We don't know if we're getting more time just because there's two of them, so...I don't know. Maybe checking early might help. [ but it's more of a distraction than anything. ]
I wouldn't put any money on it. They've said there's a tight window before we're on schedule again -- if nine hours was all the could spare in the first place, then nine hours is all we'll get I'm sure.
[ realism! yeah! ]
Not sure they'll let you in, but we might be able to peek in from a distance and get an idea of what's happening.
It'd be nice to cut us a little slack. Especially if we have to keep doing this.
[ there's a nod though. ]
That's about the extent of it. Personal desires more than anything, though I suspect the nanites are designed to be more general about what triggers the violence than something so specific. [ not this shit again. ]
[ he says still thinking shoma is 12. i’m glad shu would be a terrible influence on kids. ]
We figured it was something to do with the nanites all along, but— not sure if it’s more creepy or not that they’re potentially making people act out on their personal desires rather than just wholly controlling them.
It's more creepy and it's more dangerous if that's really what we're dealing with because it becomes unpredictable and much harder for that person to realize something's even wrong. It took a lot of pressing and questioning from me before Scien would even admit that maybe his behavior was erratic.

Even if they won't let us in, I want to try as much as we can. We can't spend an hour just talking about shit tomorrow.

[ which is a thought. what happens then? ]
Mm. True. So, what've you got so far. Anything?

[ there's a pause. ]
...did you get to talk to Scien or Eunhyuk much after we caught them?

[ pensives in timezone and scheduling availability ]
Not as much as I’d like, although someone suggested insecurities and personal desires might play into things.
