[ MY HOUSE. sneaks this in at work. anyway we are in the lodge! shoma is here and he seems to be bundled up in a lil jacket of his own as he's rubbing his face a little to warm up. ]
This place would actually be kind of perfect if it wasn't freezing. [ looks at the stew... ] What'd you find?
[ eats your porch. did he get some cosy warm clothes from the strip mall? ]
Winter wonderland, hold the winter? Yeah. It'd be nice if it was a tiny bit warmer, and got above freezing more. [ also looks at the stew. ] They've got a lot of hot food and drink. Didn't charge me for it either.
[ he was smart enough to get a coat but otherwise no he's in his usual kind of clothes. ]
I'm kind of liking the "no charge" thing about these planets. [ he will wander to have a sit nearby. ] But at least we have sunlight? That's an improvement.
Yeah, that's...definitely an improvement, too. [ haha. he sinks into his coat a little thanks to the reminder. nooooo biting. ]
We don't get a lot of snow where I'm from. Even if it's really cold out, I'm kind of liking the change. Especially when there's places like this. Have you checked out much of the planet yet? There're more places on this one than the last.
Same with Tokyo. [ he shakes his head though. ] I sort of looked around but not, like, as in-depth as I wanted to. I was thinking of going later with Mizuki but...I kind of get the feeling it'll take a couple of trips to really find anything good.
No, I was. [ he just admits this. he really did turn around and crawl back in his pod day one because he decided he didn't want to deal. ] Last I checked there's, like, almost a dozen versions of Earth represented in this place. Probably a little more, too, if any of the senior crew are from an Earth.
[ ...there's a flicker, something like a soft sepia effect washing over him before it settles into something like smoke flowing off of him. ]
Mizuki knows how to take care of herself. Always has. [ but he glances elsewhere in the lodge. ] ...but knowing what we know now, there's a little more to worry about.
Yup. [ he can at leas easily agree on that one. ] ...as annoying as she is sometimes, it is better having her here than not. But then I spend every week worrying something's going to happen, so...double-edged sword or whatever.

[ little. victories. ]
The lodge is nice though. At least places like this compensate for being freezing by having warmer places to refuel.

Yeah, I've had a little look around. Did you see the old village?

… Are you and Mizuki from the same Earth? I assumed, but I’ve never actually asked.

One of the senior staff mentioned there's a lot of us from Earth, but not many from the same Earth.
[ ... ]
It must be tough, having someone you know here.

Even if you’re more than capable, it won’t stop people worrying.

[ another pause. ] ...I'm probably more worried than I should be. But I don't really like the idea that something could happen.

... Yeah. Not sure how I'd deal with that.

It's been a work in progress. Let's just call it that.
