anyway, todomatsu's just kind of wandering around in the evening, because lol, going back to his room is a really depressing prospect, actually, and while he's tired as hell, he's kind of dreading going to bed. all of which he's probably projecting just now.
but he puts on a smile and waves at shoma when he sees him. ]
Hey... are you feeling okay? [ after, like... the coffin, and scien's everything... ] Everything was such a rush at the end there...
it's not like he can blame todomatsu for avoiding his room, actually. so yeah, the emotion hits and there's a soft reflect of almost understanding in a sense before he returns the greeting with a light smile of his own. it's like. mostly an effort rather than actually feeling any sort of happiness. ]
...I think all of us are kind of feeling some way right about now. None of this is what we expected, huh?
Yeah. That's about where I'm landing with all of this, too. Whether he was really himself or if he was overloaded when it happened, the ending was sad for both of them. And now they both have to keep that memory forever.

It kind of feels hard to blame either of them, too. At least based on what we know.
[ he thinks their relationship was a little like his with his brothers — dahut had made the comparison himself. someone you're completely comfortable with who pisses you off all the time and sometimes you want to just tie them to the ceiling and beat them like a pinata, but they're still your family and you love those pieces of shit anyway.
he is absolutely not saying this out loud because fuck if he'll admit to the loving them part when they ruin his life on a daily basis, but the beauty of this week is that he's kind of saying it with his feelings whether he wants to or not. ]
I know Da-kun liked Scien a lot in spite of everything... and I'm pretty sure now that it was mutual.
...it was, from what I understand. Dahut told me they've been working together for a long time. Even if he agreed their relationship was complex, he said that Scien was the person he respected and trusted the most. "We understand each other better than anyone." He kind of described their relationship as familial, too.
[ and that's what makes this even harder to process. the thing is that while todomatsu's thinking about all of this and supplying the lil feedback loop of emotions, shoma's picking up on it subconsciously and reflecting them back while also thinking about scien and dahut.
the kind of family you'd do anything for, but the kind that you also can admit their wrongdoings... ]
I think it might've also been one of those relationships that nobody on the outside would ever fully understand. There were too many layers and too much history.
