rng said they're at the grotto, and who am i to argue with rng. shu's somewhere over by the largest gathering of coral, eyes flicking between watching it sway gently and watching the guardians giving him the stink eye like they think he's about to kick the coral plants or something. ]

[ he's here! he's vibin...we are just observing the grotto even though he's very about it. ]

The power of Acquada, I guess. We're being seriously eyeballed.

[ the guards looking at them like first of all how dare you exist. ]

The dossier said they were pretty protective, but...we're not even doing anything yet. Think they're used to people trying to vandalize the place?

Maybe. They might be expecting us to kick the coral when we think they're not looking. Guilty until proven innocent when we leave, y'know?

Well, I don't plan on causing damages. Do you? [ shu, are you a troublemaker today... ]

It's pretty peaceful here. I kinda want to enjoy it.

Just checking. [ but there's a small cough as a few storm-colored petals flitter out of his mouth. give him a moment to quickly catch them as to not litter the coral. ]

This is almost better than what I was imagining a water planet would look like, if I'm honest. Which...I guess it's appropriate since we already had one good thing happen today. [ our viktor!! ]

You think you're even more into it because of the arrival this morning?

[ thanks, this is now week two of coughing up bullshit. ]

Maybe! I...yeah, maybe. [ he sort of laughs. ] I knew...obviously it had to work if Arthur was given the option in the first place, but it was still one of those things we had to doubt until we saw it ourselves, right? And we did. So that gives us at least a little more of an idea that it can be done.

It's kinda hard to believe being told "hey, randomly I can just bring someone back from the dead this week" until you see it. Nice to have our doubts proved wrong.

It's the one time I'm totally fine being wrong about something. It's...we obviously can't make that work in other worlds, but here's enough. I have to remember that much.

Mm. Bodes well for potentially getting other people back, if we can wing it.

When. [ we are not doing if. ] ...but we do have a few days. Maybe some of the research from the people of Acquada might have some ideas for us to use, too. I'm not sure what, and I'm not sure they'll be able to tell us much, but it's a thought.

If they have datapads or something like it, we could try and access those? But— it’s more getting the dead from point A, wherever they are, to point B where we are and tying them back to their bodies. We have some way of connecting the two points and getting the souls back it’s just… making sure that doesn’t mess up.

...well you saw that report about the vessels, right? That's still an option so long as we can figure out how to put them in the right ones.

Right, the beacon thing.

It might need something powerful like the tesseract to do it, but... I think we kinda need someone to go with the vessels to make sure everyone gets into the right vessel and gets back to the right body.

Yeah...I mean we could ask Lucien to carry all of the vessels, but that's a little risky, right? What if he doesn't come back or the portal on either side collapses before everybody's through?

We can't rely on just Lucien, no. Especially if he had to take extra in case some didn't survive the journey.

If we can figure out a way to guarantee safe passage...or even send a few of us. That's probably the next biggest roadblock we have to get past here.

Or just send a lot of them. If we sent like 80 vessels, 20 are bound to survive.

If that's the case, wouldn't it be better to send an astronomical number just to make sure? In case they fumble with the vessels on their end, too.

Depending on what they are we could do way more. I'm not sure how the vessels are going to work, if they'll have to split themselves amongst a few or what, but it can't hurt. A couple hundred's not the worst plan.

We're accounting for loss and breakage. I don't think there's a size limit? So something portable but not microscopic's a good start.
