That's what I was hoping the answer was. I'd rather not think about you running the risk of walking right into a murderer or something while you're doing your job.
Nope. Presumably unless my head's on the block that week, I'll just keep waking up a little bit before everyone else as check locations and the camera footage.
That's why it was kinda important a few weeks ago to be specific about what you ask items we get. Without the height limitation, you'd have got a false reading for me and Adrastea.
[ anyway because i am a fading fast becks, here is the video:
a figure can be seen leaving with two, four-legged figures that skulk out next to them. for a little while, there is peace and silence on the camera.
but the doors open again, giving the impression someone is just observing the room. there's no stress, or rushing movements - at first.
a pause, and then there's a flurry of action. the figure and the two animals rushes inside, taking up a defensive position facing the doors, like they're getting ready to square off. another figure comes in, but it's hard to make them out from the angle the camera is at. especially considering the animals go barreling forward to attack them, and chaos breaks out. the animals get their blows in, but they also take some blows as well, getting kicked away. the first figure barrels into the fray, swinging something wildly.
the second figure is seen throwing something into the room as they fight, and then - that's it. there's no further footage, as something ignites with a small blast and knocks the camera to the ground. ]
I'd rather your head not be on the block, like, ever. Job or no. But good to know. [ there's a pause. ] ...I knew what I was doing back then. I'd already suspected Sheba at the time, and guesstimated as best as I could. But I get it. Sorry.
[ anyway he watches this video while i assume you're asleep. ]
...so she left, and she must've come back in time to see someone looking for her and prepared to defend herself and everyone else in the church. We're going to have to be looking for some kind of explosive. Molotov cocktail maybe? Or some kind of pipe bomb. [ honestly he'd wonder if it was ch*rizard somehow but pocket balls shouldn't be working. ]
Pretty sure everyone would prefer not to be in the firing line, but there's not a lot we can do if we wake up on Thursday night.
[ he nods. ] I figured you were probably onto something, but it did make me realise how careful the wording needs to be.
[ i was asneep and then a fox clattered around outside and woke me up. ]
Something like that, yeah. It was powerful enough to knock the camera down from a distance, and the fire it started wasn't going out with the use of fire extinguishers.
Unless you turn the tables, yeah. [ which is...hard to gauge if you can. but he nods. thank you for acknowledging he's smart but he does at least have the sense to know shu's right. they all have to be more careful when they don't know who may be just trying to help. ]
Definitely something chemical or maybe even magical then if I had to guess. Whoever heads in tomorrow is going to have their hands full. But like you said maybe it's just preserved for today since it's evidence. [ ... ] We'll have to talk to anyone else who stayed at the church, too, to see if they might've noticed anything before that.
There was some camera footage at the beginning, but all I remember was Nodd and Todomatsu arguing? [ the drama there i wish to Know More ] Might not be a bad idea for one of them to go and look around, as they should remember how the room looked before it was on fire.
Unless they were too focused on arguing to really have been paying attention to their surroundings. [ bleh. ] But it's not a bad strategy. Depending how many of us can go in, having new and old eyes would benefit us.
...maybe Nodd though. Todomatsu in a fire sounds...bad.
Yeah. So, if he wants to help, we'll send him somewhere else. Libraries are usually safe. Or laundry? I guess we won't really know until we get that far.
We say that, but there's already been one attack in the library over the past few weeks. Laundry might be a safe bet. Or, I guess as safe as any murder sites can be.
Yeah? Actually, yeah. [ he seems weirdly fine here. ] Like a whole box made of water that still keeps its shape even when you open the door. I've been hoping for an underwater planet for a while now anyway.
[ swimmies... ]
If anything it'd be impressive to be fully underwater.
Or just a whole planet. A sphere of all water. They've given us workarounds for breathing and coping with gravity, I'm pretty sure they can get us moving around an aquatic planet without issue.
[ literally the only plus he'll give nut & bolt ever. ]
[ they just send us to fontaine. but he seems to be thinking... ]
You've heard the stories of Atlantis and stuff, right? It'd probably be something like that. Really big and fancy with all kinds of old architecture and different structures supporting the building. But I guess the question then is how would the Eudora even land on the planet?
[ IF IT HAS THE OTTERS I'M HERE FOR IT OH MY GOD. ]
Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's a movie about it. Like one of those ones for all the family. That'd be pretty cool to explore. [ hmm. ] Maybe they have above water ports for exactly this kind of ship.

Yeah. There's a lot of possibilities when you think about it, and I'm gonna be kind of disappointed if none of them are actually real.
